Jr Accountant

Temp to Hire - Up to $33/hr

South Orange County, CA | Full-Time (32 hours a week)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Jr Accountant to support daily accounting operations. This position offers a diverse mix of responsibilities across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll support, reconciliations, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced working in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable, including invoice matching, coding, approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
• Prepare payments via check and electronic methods.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Process customer billing, monitor receivables, apply cash receipts, and assist with collections.
• Reconcile customer and vendor accounts.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
• Enter payroll data and maintain payroll records.
• Manage petty cash and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support audit requests.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Strong experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
